Gem Placement: Right eye

Personality: Zircon is a kind Gem, despite growing up on Homeworld. She enjoys helping others, even if they did wrong. She believes that no one is truly evil, not even Yellow Diamond. She believes that everyone has good in them, even corrupt Gems. She thinks that will a little help, they can be turned back to normal someday. Though, despite her nice and kind nature, if you push her too far or harm her friends, she will defend them. Though, she can be a bit timid at times, and this is frown on by the other Gems on Homeworld, as it is a sign of weakness. When pushed over the edge, she becomes the opposite. She will fight to the death to protect those that she cares for and what she believes in.

Backstory: She grew up on Homeworld many years after the Gem War. She grew up hearing stories about it from the older Gems. She thought that was terrible, though she couldn't blame Rose and the others for turning their backs on Homeworld. What the other Gems were doing were awful, though she kept that to herself. She heard news of Yellow Diamond sending Jasper and Peridot to Earth, along with sending Lapis back while she was training one day. When they didn't come back, she became worried, since the Water Gem had become her friend. Peridot reported back one day, telling what had happened on Earth, and Yellow Diamond was out raged. She sent some more Gems to go back to Earth, and Zircon was one of them. When she got to Earth, she was amazed at all the sights, colors, people, and animals there. While there, she ran into Steven and the other Crystal Gems. They attacked, thinking she was going to hurt them. She explained herself, once Steven spoke up, saying that they should hear her out, and she joined up with them after that, though the other Gems didn't seem to trust her at first. She couldn't blame them after all that had happened. Once she was trusted by them, Zircon helped them protect the Earth from other Gems from Homeworld and corrupted Gems.

Name: Snowflake Obsidian

Nicknames: Obsidian, Obsy, Snowy (don't call her this unless you wanna get bitch slapped-)
 
Age: Unknown. Old as heck.

Gender: Female

Gem: Snowflake Obsidian

Appearance:

Personality: Obsidian obtains a cold, cruel appearance. She's ruthless when in combat and knows her limits. An 'all work no play' type of Gem, she takes all of her jobs very seriously and WILL see them through to the end. She has high patience when she knows she's getting somewhere and hardly loses her temper. She mostly thinks in benefit of Homeworld and what will help them get to the very top. In addition, she's very egotistical and isn't afraid to boost her own ego and loves it even more when others boost hers.

Obsidian tends to be sarcastic, leaving subtle rude remarks as she sees fit. She tends to be a backstabber, using her allies against her to better get to her goal. She doesn't mind if they do the same to her, however, and states that she 'deserves it' when it happens.

History: Obsidian wasn't present during the Crystal Gem War, having been busy off on another planet. However, this doesn't change her opinion towards Gems that rebel from Homeworld. Before the War, however, she seemed to have been very close to a particularly interesting Gem named Sphalerite- one reason why she was sent to another planet instead of Earth. She moved up in the ranks of Homeworld rather quickly, becoming one of the more feared Gems out there. Due to her great ability to get things done, she was sent to Earth after Peridot made contact with Yellow Diamond once more.

Power: Like all Gems, Obsidian can revert to her Gemstone to regenerate, summon a weapon, fuse, and shapeshift. Obsidian rarely fuses, as she's often incompatible with the other she may have to fuse with. The exception to this one is Sphalerite. She appears to have a considerable amount of physical strength yet lacks speed.

Weapon: A large double sided obsidian battle axe. She summons it by putting together her resolve to bring in all traitors of Homeworld.

Other: Obsidian is a huge bitch and likes having people under her. She tends to stroll around with her weapon on her shoulder just because. Secret tech nerd. She'll speak in Smokey Black.
