Broken Alley Empty Broken Alley

Post by Miles Thu May 02, 2019 12:55 pm

A deadly outbreak has ravaged the isolated village. Many humans have passed away and the rest have left the village never to return. The house cats have been thrown into a world they probably never knew existed beyond their cozy homes and warm hugs. The alley cats have been left with no humans to mooch off of for a stray snack. They have also had to deal with the influx of inexperienced pet cats. It has been some time now that the house and alley cats have been on their own like their feral brethren. Things are still shaky, but seem to go well with everyone adapting to their new surroundings.

Although within the last month trouble has been stirring. A band of rogue cats is forming a plan to take over the village. They are power hungry and ruthless. They will not stop until they get what they want which is more land and more recruits on their side. It is up to the good-hearted felines to band together to take on this new evil, or take a chance and join the other side.

There are three relatively stable colonies; Orecats, Acreans and Ruecats. Those not in a colony became known as Outsiders for they were not trusted and regarded as evildoers.

The Orecats are the descendants of the miner's cats used to keep vermin out of the mines and their campsites. The Acreans descends from farm and fisherman's cats. The Ruecats descend from the house and street cats that took residence in the village.

These are some common animals your cat may run into. Predators can and will prey on cats and their kittens. Prey are animals a cat can and will eat. Nuisances are generally neither prey or predators, but can be aggressive when provoked and could even kill a cat.

Leader- The cat in charge of the colony.

Deputy- The second-in-command. The cat in charge right behind the leader. They make sure everything is running well in the colony. They will also step up and become leader if the currently leader dies or retires. They will then pick a new cat to become their deputy.

Healer- A cat or cats in charge of taking care of sick or injured cats.

Protectors- Cats that protect the colony from threats. They are the warriors of the colony.

Hunters- Cats that bring in prey for their colony. While they mostly do the hunting, they are skilled in combat and act as second protectors.

Scouts- Cats that scout around to look for trouble. They are spies.

Trainees- Young cats that train to become a protector, hunter, scout, or healer.

Kit-Mothers- She-cats that have kits or going to have kittens. They take care of them until they are old enough to become trainees.

Kittens- Young cats that aren't old enough to become trainees yet.

Elders- Cats that have grown too old to continue taking care of their Colony.

Outcasts- Cats that have been outcasted from their Colony. Banished. Exiled. They can seek to rejoin their Colony at a later point in time if their former Colony allows them on their territory.

Outsiders- Cats that were never part of a Colony. They are not trusted by Colony cats and they treated as no good felines that are nothing but evil. And with a band of rogue cats, that might as well be true.

Felinus is what the cats believe in. It is their Frith, their StarClan, things like that. Every animal has their own belief. The canines, dogs, wolves, coyotes, ect, believe in Caninous, the foxes believe in Vulpious, ect. ect.

It is also believed that Felinus is a place. A perfect place for felines to live. But no one is certain of that fact.
