Childhood Friends

A topic for Rai and Kaori when they were a Dechu and a Kitvee respectfully.

The tiny mouse bounced forward with his parents. They were stopping by a village on the way to visit some family that lived far off Horizon. As his mom and dad spoke to one of the other Kurisuta that was going to give them a place to stay for the time they were here, the Dechu spotted a little fox that wasn't too far off.

Her fur was pure white with ear-tips, tail-tip, and paws that were a gray color. Her eyes were a soft honey color. Rai made his way over to the vixen, wondering what the she-fox was up to.

The vixen was singing a soft little tune as she gazed at herself in the still water of a stream. She seemed to noptice him, and batted her eyes teasingly, then scampered off at a slow pace, her kind smile egging him to join her.

The mouse made her way over to her. He stopped just before he reached the water, looking at the female fox in the water. He had no idea who she was, but the vulpine seemed rather kindly just by her smile alone. That put him at some ease. He lifted a paw and waved at the Normal-type in greeting.

She giggled and hid her face with her bushy tail, smiling at him as she blinked shyly

":Hi there, Denachu!" she said in her soft, kind voice. "What brings you to my small village?"

"Hi!" Rai answered her. He glanced back to see that his parents were watching from a distance, making sure he didn't get lost as grownups often did. He turned his emerald eyes back to the fox. "My name's Rai. I'm going to visit some family in the village close by here. I think it's called Moonlight Falls? I'm staying here with my mom and dad for a few days I guess. What's your name?"

"Kaori" she said, hopping next to him and giving her sweet smile "My father is the village leader you know."

The mouse's ears perked up at what the fox had told him. Her father was the leader of the village? Wow! That was super cool now that he thought about it. "Mine's the leader of the Lune Guild back in Daybreak Village. He and my mom share leadership of it," he explained. "I'm gonna join once I'm old enough and rescue Kurisuta that's in trouble."
