Denachu Village

She kept ahead of him, pretty concerned.

Keme padded along after her. His ears were perked as he kept his senses up. He had no idea what was going to happen next, but it was best to be prepared just in case. He didn't want anything to go wrong or anyone to get hurt. Though he knew that Raiden wasn't going to harm anyone, but the trials... They were a completely different story all together. He had never faced one of them before, but he had heard stories of them. His mother would tell him tales of how his father had faced them along with others in the village long before he was born. If what she said was true--and he had no reason to doubt her--he hoped for the best once the God of Thunder showed himself to the small village he called home.

She walked along, silent and lost in her own thoughts. She had never been so scared. Yet, she knew that she had to be brave.

The male Denachu turned his gaze to the female as he walked along beside her. "Shara? You alright?" he questioned, concern in his voice.

"Hmm? Yeah, just deep in thought is all." She answered honestly.

She paused for a moment before she just simply shook her head. "I think I will be okay, thanks though."

Keme gave a small nod at that. Though he'd be there for her if and when she needed it.

She smiled softly at him.

He returned the smile, one ear twitching nervously as he felt his face heat up a bit. It was no surprise that he had a crush on Shara. He just never told her, not knowing if she felt the same way towards him or not. He didn't want to get his hopes up only for them to be crushed in the end. So, he didn't say a word about it. Only a few in the village knew and that was because they loved to tease him about his feelings towards the female Denachu. But he'd do everything in his power to make sure she was safe. She meant a lot to him, even if she didn't know about it yet.

"Hmm? Now what's on your mind?" She teased lightly, a blush hiding under her fur.

The playful tease only caused him to blush a tad darker. "H-Huh? Oh, nothing...?" he squeaked out.

"You quite sure of that?" She teased further, her blush getting a little darker.

She decided to let it go for the time being, slightly tickling him with her tail.

A squeak of laughter came from his throat as he was tickled by his friend.

She giggled. "Didn't know you were that ticklish." She teased lightly.

Keme pouted, crossing his arms with a small huff. Despite all that, there was still a smile on his face.

She couldn't help a laugh.

Keme chuckled lightly at that.

"Come on, let's get home."

"Race you!" Keme declared with a playful smirk before he darted off.

She giggled, started to run after him.

The male Denachu glanced back to see his friend running after him. He chuckled at the sight. At least Shara was having fun. That as all that mattered. That she enjoyed herself and was safe.

"I'm gonna get you..." She proclaimed.
