Kaori and Rai

A ship topic for Rai and Kaori. Can take place in Servant of Mist or something different, I dunno. Regardless, ship time with a mouse and a fox.

“Wait, no! Don’t–!”

Rai’s panicked cry was cut off as the little mouse was flung into the water like a rag-doll by the Abysol. The Dark-type snickered as he swam back to shore to where the rest of his teammates were waiting.

The Electric-type broke the surface, coughing and spatting up water. He tried to stay afloat as best he could, but before long he disappeared under the water again and didn’t come back up.

Terror gripped Rai, paralyzing him. His brain told him to kick, to move, but his body wouldn’t listen to him. Water got into his lungs, burning them, his mouth, eyes, and nose.

Bubbles filled the water in front of him as he lost more air. He was all too familiar with the numbness that seeped in as darkness began to take over. Drowning was a slow and painful death. One he wouldn’t wish upon anyone.

If someone didn’t help him soon, he knew for a fact that he would drown, sink to the bottom of the ocean and be lost forever.
