Pokemon: Revenge

Pokemorphs. (Pokémon Gijinka as humans call them) Creatures lower than humans, yet human. But, with one difference... Pokemorphs are the result of science, and are very rarely born naturally. Half-human, half-Pokemon. Essentially, mutants, created for the purpose of destruction – super-soldiers. With such a purpose, many people shun them and avoid them as much as possible. However, this particular branch of the human species has not been seen for years, anywhere near Sinnoh. With good reasoning, as well! The Pokemorph project originated in Johto, and was never tried anywhere else, for fear of creating something that couldn't be handled. It was entirely unnatural, after all.

The Pokemorph project has been shut down for many years now, brought down by the Johto government, where the idea originated. The death rate of the experiment was too high, the project too risky, they decided. Nothing good could come out of it.

The survivors, a small group of Pokemorphs, had soon returned to their homes, but were rejected by other humans. Their families could not even recognize them.

These Pokemorphs, with their great deeds, had soon proved to humanity that they were still good, although deformed. They had managed to stop a much more major project, a threat to humanity, which has faded through time. Mere glimpses of this story are remembered, although it continues to fade over time, the effort of the morphs forgotten.

But that was long ago. These heroes are now dead, and humanity has forgotten them.

Now, after many years of silence from a certain criminal organization, Team Rocket, they were recently spotted in Sinnoh, with activity, although small, in Jubilife City. Any witnesses were silently killed. Team Rocket had their ways to prevent this from reaching the news outlets. Such a thing would be both political and literal suicide – if any major government learned of their efforts, they would find themselves dead or jailed, and the public would be entirely outraged! It would be the end of Team Rocket, and that simply couldn't be possible.

Team Rocket, working off of the design of the original scientists, remade the experiment, and after many, many years of behind-the-scenes work, perfected it- the death rate was now much lower, and there were no problems with the produced Pokemorphs. No other problems, except for disobedience. Any of these morphs who publicly disobeyed or insulted Team Rocket were slaughtered without hesitation. Team Rocket is efficient.

What they neglected to notice is that these Pokemorphs, previously human, were desperate for freedom, to get away from their grasp.

So, they were soon able to break free, some in groups, some alone, across Sinnoh. Some were being hunted, some without a trace- but all wanted one thing- Revenge, for making them what they are now, and making humanity hate them once again. However, some chose to stay, to serve Team Rocket- these were the ones that lost hope, didn't believe the freedom would last, didn't remember themselves, or were truly evil.
